Malaysia is the 43rd most populous country with the mainland and the 66th largest in the world, with a population of approximately 27 million and a total area exceeding 320 000 km2. The population in such a quite comparable with the population of Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, and in such an area is proportional to the total area of Norway and Vietnam, or New Mexico, a state in the United States.
Malaysia consists of two main regions separated by the South China Sea. Both have a form that is almost the same face of the earth, ie from the edge of a sloping sea through dense forests and high hills. The highest peak in Malaysia (and also in Kalimantan) is 4095.2 meters high Mount Kinabalu in Sabah. Local climate is equatorial and characterized by the southwest monsoon (April to October) and northeast (October to February).
